Delivery & Substitution Policy

Galbraith Florists LTD provides its services subject to the following terms, conditions, and provisions (the "Terms and Conditions"). By accessing, viewing, or using this Site, you indicate that you understand these Terms and Conditions and accept them as the legal equivalent of a signed, written contract, binding you to these Terms and Conditions.  Galbraith Florists LTD reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, effective immediately upon posting on our Site.

At  Galbraith Florists LTD, we are committed to exceptional service and products. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your gift or its delivery, please do not hesitate to contact us at sales@galbraithflorists.com.  We use only the freshest flowers available for our hand-made bouquets to ensure that you can send flowers with confidence.

Refund Policy

If an order is filled and delivered on time and there is a question as to the quality of the arrangement then we will gladly replace the arrangement. To request a replacement we must be contacted within 24 hours of the delivery. Bear in mind that flowers are perishable. Proper care is required. It is the responsibility of the recipient to follow any care instructions provided. No refunds or replacements will be made for any order should the recipient or sender not notify us within 24 hours of the original service date.

Order Changes and Cancellations

We do not allow orders to be edited or cancelled after acceptance of the order or, if earlier, within twenty-four (24) hours of the requested delivery date or within the three (3) days prior to Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Father's Day or Mother's Day (because of our extremely high volume of orders during these times).

Delivery Charge

We offer Free Same Day Delivery for online orders ONLY within our local delivery zone - 10 km distance from our store location. 

This online promotion is not applicable for orders placed over the phone, through social media, emails or in person.  

A delivery fee is applied to all flower orders delivered in Saint John and surrounding areas, which exceed 10 km free local zone and will be calculated at the checkout. The delivery fee is based on the total mileage to the recipient's location.

Delivery Policy

Ordering During Holidays

Our store and delivery hours may vary for major holidays. To help ensure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least one day prior to the following holidays:

  • Valentine's Day
  • Easter
  • Administrative Professionals Week
  • Mother's Day
  • Father's Day
  • Good Friday
  • Labor Day

Same Day Delivery:

If you order before 4:00 pm in the recipient's time zone, we can typically deliver the flowers the same day Monday through Friday. For orders going outside of our local delivery area, we may require the order to be placed by 3:00 pm for same-day delivery. For same day service on Saturday please order by 2:00 pm.

Specific Times:

We are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time, but we are normally able to deliver within four hours on orders. You may request a time frame in the special instruction box when ordering, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Delivery Times:

Normal delivery times are 9 am-5 pm daily for orders going to a business, 6 pm for orders to a residence, hotel, or hospital, and 2 pm for orders going to a school. During major holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day we operate extended hours and delivery times are 8 am-8 pm.

Funeral Homes:

These orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. If you do not know the zip code or exact address of the funeral home we will look it up for you. We normally contact the funeral home anyway to verify the time of the viewing and make arrangements for the flower delivery. If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual viewing we will deliver to the viewing per the funeral home instructions. If you have ordered for a funeral viewing on Sunday and it is too late to deliver on Saturday or Sunday, we will contact the funeral home to verify that there is a viewing or service on Monday and reschedule the order.

High Schools:

High schools do not accept deliveries for students. Please send teacher's gifts to the high school and any student orders to their residence. Orders to high schools should be placed early because they usually must be received by 2 pm.

Weekend Delivery Policy:

If we are unable to arrange for delivery on Sunday and time permits we will set up for delivery on Saturday, including Birthdays and Anniversaries. If Saturday or Sunday is not available, then the order will be scheduled for Monday and we will inform you of the rescheduling (you will be contacted first before rescheduling a Birthday or Anniversary gift for Monday).

P.O. Boxes:

We are unable to deliver flowers to a P.O. Box or an A.P.O. address.

If No One is Home:

Depending on the delivery location, if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbour, or leave a message for the recipient to call to arrange a pick- up.

Incorrect Addresses:

If the recipient's address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there is a $10 address correction fee. Galbraith Florist is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.

Cancelling an Order:

Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. Due to the urgent nature of florist delivered products we are unable to cancel or change orders already in process at the florist, en route or delivered. To cancel or change an order that has not been processed, please call (506) 635-1935.

Recipient May be Contacted:

In some cases, the florist may contact the recipient to ensure they will be home to accept the delivery. With that being said, we won't contact the recipient if that wasn't instructed by the customer.

Request to Leave Item at Door:

The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We highly discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves. Galbraith Florists cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty products due to this special request.

Recipient Refusal of Delivery:

If the recipient refuses to accept a delivery, you may be held fully liable for the cost of the gift.

Card Messages:

The message that you write in the Card Message field is the message that is sent with the gift. We do not include any billing information with your order.

Taxes & Pricing

Sales tax will be displayed in the checkout if applicable.

Many products are available in Standard, Deluxe, and Premium sizes that you can upgrade to.

Substitution Policy

Fresh Flowers:

At Galbraith Florists, we are committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time and as fresh and beautiful as possible. It may be possible that the products (flower and vase) that are displayed on the website may not be present actually due to the non-availability of some seasonal flowers or some local restrictions. However, we guarantee the number of flowers to be equal to what is stated on the site. We also guarantee that the quality of the replaced flowers/vase will be the same or superior to what is displayed on the website. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. 

Balloons:

Some hospitals do not allow latex balloons with an arrangement. Mylar balloons may need to be substituted for latex balloons on some orders.

Plants:

For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible.

Gift Baskets:

Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery.

Substitutions for Special Occasions:

Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery, if the flowers you requested are not available, and we are not able to contact you via the phone number(s) or email address you provided us.
